1 ведущий:— Дорогие ребята! Сегодня мы с вами поговорим об одном из самых интересных и необычных праздников в Британии — Хэллоуине.
2 ведущий: Хэллоуин – старинный кельтский праздник, который празднуется в ночь с 31 октября на 1 ноября. Так же упоминается как «Канун дня всех святых.
1 ведущий: Название Хэллоуин произошло от слова Hallowe”en — сокращение выражения All Hallow”s Eve, которое расшифровывается как All Hallowed Souls Eve.
2 ведущий: Одним из основных атрибутов праздника является Светильник Джека (Jack-o Lantern) в виде головы из вырезанной тыквы с зажженной свечой внутри. Появление этого символа чаще всего связывают с ирландской легендой о человеке по имени Джек, старом фермере, любителе азартных. Он дважды обманывал дьявола, не отдав тому свою душу на попечительство, а когда пришел судный день, он не попал ни в рай ,ни в ад – так как дьявол боялся его хитрости. Он был обречен скитаться по миру с тыквенной головой и с тлеющим угольком внутри ее.
Ведущий 1 :Ребята, а как вы думаете, какие основные цвета Хэллоуина? (Оранжевый ….)
А правы вы или нет, нам ответят ребята из 3 класса.

Ghost – We are here to frighten the children. Let’s begin!
Black Cat 2 — I am a Black Cat. Don’t meet me on your way! It’ll give you a lot of troubles! Are you scared?
Children – No, we are not.
Ghost – I am a Ghost. I live in old houses. All nights I wander from one room to another and frighten people. Are you scared?
Children – No, we are not!
Black Cat 1– The children are very brave. Look! Someone is coming here! He is carrying a pumpkin lantern. Who are you?
Jack – My name is Jack. I wander around the world.
Ghost – Oh, I know him! English and American children make pumpkin lanterns to frighten their friends!
Jack – You are right. They call this lantern “jack-o’lantern”.

Ведущий 2:Существует объяснение этой традиции. Так, дети, переодеваясь в злых духов, ходят от дома к дому и собирают жертвы (сладости), которые должны их умилостивить, звучат обрядовые песни, и дети говорят традиционную фразу “ Trick or Treat?” Угости или я сыграю над тобой шутку — разговорный вариант «Кошелек или жизнь».
Ведущий 1:Если вы не принесете в жертву Ваши запасы сладкого, эти маленькие демоны могут жестоком пошутить над вами, например, вымазать сажей ручки двери или нарисуют что-нибудь обидное мелом на асфальте перед Вашим домом.

Ведущий 1: Сегодня и только сегодня для вас выступят маленькие ведьмочки.
Ведущий 2 :Хэллоуин – это также праздник урожая яблок. В Англии дети любят играть в различные игры с яблоками. Давайте с вами поиграем в игру “Lucky apple”!
( Дети встают в круг и под музыку начинают передавать друг другу два яблока. Внезапно музыка прекращается, и те, у кого в руках оказались яблоки, выходят в центр круга. Игра повторяется, и в центр выходит еще одна пара. (музыка «семейка Адамс»)
Ведущий 1:У нас 4 счастливых яблока. Давайте посмотрим, кто из вас лучший поедатель яблок.
По сигналу ведущего четверо в центре начинают есть яблоки. Тот, кто съест быстрее всех – «Лучший поедатель яблок». Ему вручается медаль “The best apple eater”.
Ведущий 2:Это наш чемпион и ему полагается медаль.
(Вручается медаль с надписью «Лучшему поедателю яблок»!)
Вед2: Настало время продемонстрировать ваши костюмы. Вам нужно показать ваш костюм во всей красе. Сейчас наше жюри в лице учителей и учениц 9 класса будет выбирать короля и королеву нашего праздника Хеллоуина. Начинаем в порядке убывания с 6,5,4,3, 2, 1 классов.

Ведущий 1 :Наш праздник подошел к концу. Мы вам желаем: Friendly fairy, witch or Fay fulfills the wish you wish today.

Сценарий праздника «Хэллоуин» на английском языке.
Halloween
– один из любимых праздников детворы. На нём можно не только показать хорошие
знания языка, но и повеселиться от души. Кроме того, такие мероприятия
способствуют развитию творческой фантазии и инициативы в осуществлении
иноязычной речевой деятельности, а также развивают познавательные интересы
учащихся и умения сотрудничать в осуществлении совместной деятельности.
Цель:
познакомить детей с традициями страны изучаемого языка.
Задачи —
развивать у детей коммуникативную компетенцию,
— развивать навыки
говорения и выступления на публике,
— формировать умение
работать в команде,
— воспитывать чувство
товарищества и взаимопомощи,
— повысить мотивацию к
изучению английского языка.
Оформление зала:
окна завешиваются черными шторами, на шторах и по стенам зала развешиваются
картинки с символами Хэллоуина (привидения, черные коты, ведьмы, летучие мыши,
тыквы, мумии, скелеты, черные шарики.). На стене плакат с названием праздника и
газеты.
Сцена украшена свечами, тыквой, которая
является декорацией для сценки. На сцене нарисованный котел, в котором варится
зелье, вокруг изображения черных котов, тыкв и ведьм.
Звучит таинственная и устрашающая мелодия,
которая заканчивается с началом представления.
За участие в представлении и конкурсах, за
приготовленные костюмы и подделки учащиеся награждаются призами.
Ход
праздника—игры.
Первый
ведущий: We begin our traditional Halloween Party! We have two teams
which are going to have a contest tonight. Welcome the team “Bloody Oranges”…
and another team is called “Witches”… Now let me introduce our jury…
Второй
ведущий: Let us start our Halloween
competition. The first contest is Halloween Theatre. The team “Bloody Oranges”
has prepared a play which is called “Bloody Oranges”.
“Bloody Oranges”
Pupil 1: Once
upon a time there was a family. There were four of them: a mother, a father, a
son and a daughter. They were having dinner on the 31-st of October. They had
already eaten their dinner but suddenly mother realized that she had forgotten
to put oranges on the table.
Mother: Oh,
dear! Where are the oranges? I think they are in the cellar. Jane, go to the
cellar and bring the oranges.
Pupil 2: Jane
goes to the cellar, opens the door and has the feeling that there is somebody
in the room, but she does not see anybody. On the shelf she sees the oranges.
Jane: Ah!
Here are the oranges!
Pupil 1: But
when she wants to take the oranges she hears a strange voice.
Voice: Do
not take my bloody oranges! Go away!
Pupil 2: Jane
is frightened and she runs up to the dining room.
Jane: I
could not find the oranges. Ask Max to bring them!
Mother: Max,
go to the cellar and bring the oranges, please.
Max: Of
course, Mum. Only those silly girls cannot find the oranges!
Pupil 1: He
goes downstairs opens the door and on the shelf he sees the oranges. He wants
to take them.
Pupil 2: But
he hears the same strange voice.
Voice: Voice:
Do not take my bloody oranges! Go away!
Pupil 1: Max
is scared too and he runs upstairs out of the cellar.
Max: I have
not brought the oranges. Let father go there!
Mother: My
darling, will you go to the cellar and bring those oranges, please?
Father: OK
Pupil 1 He
goes downstairs opens the door and on the shelf he sees the oranges. He wants
to take them. But he hears the same strange voice.
Voice: Do
not take my bloody oranges! Go away!
Father: I am
not afraid of you! I need these oranges and I will take them!
Pupil 2:
Fifteen minutes passed but nobody came back. Mother, Jane and Max went to the
cellar together. They opened the door and on the floor they saw their dead
father with bloody oranges around him.
Voice: Ha!
Ha! Ha!

– O’ – Lantern – Hi, everybody. My name is Jack, you know. I’ve been
wandering around the Earth for hundreds of years. I am so tired. People don’t
like me, but I want to talk to them. I am so glad to have come to your party.
One of the ancient traditions on Halloween was story telling. I know so many
interesting stories and I won’t go until I tell you one of them.
Now
light the candles in your pumpkins switch off the light and listen to my story.
(Tells
the story and comes closer to the spectators)
Once
upon a time there lived an old woman. She sat by the fire and she spun waiting
for someone to come. But no one came. Soon there was a knock at the door and
the door opened and in came two big shoes, two long thin legs, some wide, wide
shoulders, some long thin arms, and two fat hands and in rolled a pumpkin head.
She
looked at someone and said:
Why do you have such big, big shoes?
Much walking, much walking, – said someone.
Why do you have such long thin legs?
Much running, much running.
Why do you have such wide shoulders?
Much carrying, much carrying.
Why do you have such fat, fat hands?
Much working, much working.
Why are you here? What is it you want?

ведущий: It was marvelous! Let us play again! The game is called
“Collect a skeleton”. Which team will manage to collect a skeleton
quicker? Throw the dice and stick the part of skeleton’s body on the board with
the help of magnets. Each skeleton’s bone has a number. A “1” is needed to
start because number “1” is a skeleton’s body. The first team –go!
Your time is … It is Witches’ turn now.

competition is called: “Wrap up like a mummy”. Use toilet paper and wrap one or
two members of your team in it. Whose mummies will be better? You have 10 minutes
for this task.

Наряженные
“страшилки” выстраиваются в ряд и под музыку, и аплодисменты зрителей проходят
круг почета.
Праздник Хэллоуин на английском языке требует особой подготовки. Нужен сценарий с играми и конкурсами, какая-нибудь жуткая история, страшный мультфильм. Но самое главное на Хэллоуин — это атмосфера, загадочная и таинственная, немного пугающая. Чтобы ее создать необходима соответствующая атрибутика — полумрак, желтые тыквы, мерцающие в свете свечей, подходящая музыка. И, конечно, костюмы и макияж. Все это создаст соответствующее настроение и тогда праздник запомнится надолго.Мы тоже постарались. Наш Хэллоуин удался на славу. Делимся опытом.

1. Начало праздника. 1.The Nightmare Before Christmas (мультфильм)
Гости входят и рассаживаются по местам (стулья стоят полукругом, так как в центре зала будут проходить игры в антракте). Постепенно гаснет свет.

После небольшой вступительной речи ведущего начинаем с просмотра известного ролика из мультфильма.
2. История праздника Хэллоуин. Презентация

Презентацию вы можете подготовить сами. Вот необходимая краткая информация о празднике Хэллоуин (на русском и английском языках). Нужны два выступающих (один рассказывает текст на английском языке, другой переводит на русский язык)
3. Инсценировка на Хэллоуин
Здесь может быть небольшая инсценировка (минут на 10 не более). В ходе нее гаснет свет и на сцене появляются главные персонажи праздника Хэллоуин: вампиры, духи и привидения. Они разминают кости.
Затем включается небольшое освещение. Привидения, мертвецы и вампиры и др. демонстрируют свои костюмы и по очереди они говорят устрашающие фразы, например, такие:
Ghoul: We are the real power in this crazy world. We have been waiting for so long!
Ghost 1: Our day has come. We’ll ruin everything on our way.
Ghost 2: The human creatures will suffer and cry every minute, every second.
Ghost 3: I like to frighten people at night, to hear their screams, to fill their souls with horror of the coming end.
BAT: We will drink their blood, we’ll make the world change.

4. Антракт. Игры, шутки, розыгрыши. Конкурс костюмов
Небольшое театрализованное представление заканчивается и привидения, вампиры, ведьмы и остальные выходят в зал со словами:
Ghoul: People, tremble.
All together: We are coming.
Bat: Oh, look! What luck! We have something for dinner!
Ghoul: Grab them for our feast
Конечно, в антракте нужно обязательно устроить конкурс костюмов на Хэллоуин и игры. Например, такие:
Игра с яблоками на Хэллоуин. Яблоки — это традиционный фрукт на Хэллоуин. В них можно вставить свечи и использовать как атрибут. А игра заключается в следующем: Яблоки кладут в таз с водой, а соревнующиеся должны выловить их ртом. Получается забавно.
Игра с чесноком. Эта переделанная игра «Музыкальный стул». Только вместо стула все ходят вокруг стола, на котором разложены головки чеснока. Как только музыка прекратиться, все играющие должны схватить по чесноку. Тот, кто не успел — выбывает.
Как известно, чеснок служит защитой от вампиров. И те, кто не успел его схватить, выбывают из игры по причине того, что стали его добычей.
Шутка «Trick or Treat». Ведущий и его помощники (ведьмы и вампирчики) выходят в зал и обходят собравшихся, говоря Trick or Treat. Если они не получат угощение, то могут сыграть со зрителями какую-нибудь безобидную шутку. Например, обрызгать водой из пульверизатора, напугать хлопушкой, или обсыпать мукой. Пояснительная записка
Внеклассное мероприятие называется «Hello, Halloween!». Мероприятие проводиться полностью на английском языке, поэтому рассчитано на обучающихся 5 — 7 классов, которые уже владеют необходимой лексикой, чтобы понять речь ведущего и активно участвовать в вечере. Но если речь ведущего будет достаточно эмоциональной, сопровождаться соответствующими жестами, и выражением лица, это сможет обеспечить доступность материала для любой возрастной категории обучающихся.
Цели и задачи:
- формирование уважительного отношения к иному мнению, истории и культуре народа страны изучаемого языка через знакомство с традициями и обычаями празднования Хэллоуина;
- развитие самостоятельности и личной ответственности в ходе выполнения подготовительной работы к празднику, развитие навыков сотрудничества со сверстниками в ходе работы в группах, парах.
- развитие у обучающихся творческих способностей, инициативности через организацию активной, эмоционально насыщенной жизни детского коллектива.
Тема «Хэллоуин» обозначается в школьной программе, ребята знакомятся с историей возникновения праздника и его традициями. Этот английский праздник приобретает популярность во многих странах, в том числе и в России. Очень часто можно встретить негативную реакцию на этот праздник, как у родителей, так и у учителей, поэтому необходимо обратить внимание учащихся на то, что для нас это, прежде всего внеклассное мероприятие по изучаемому предмету в школе, так как, празднование Хэллоуина в России, принадлежащей к христианской культуре, является неуместным. Данное мероприятие позволяет более подробно познакомить школьников с традициями праздника и дает возможность понять, что праздник «Хэллоуин» это не просто бессмысленное переодевание в страшные костюмы, а старинный религиозный праздник кельтских народов, на котором принято гадать, играть в игры, рассказывать страшные истории.
Мероприятие предполагает активное участие обучающихся в подготовке вечера, что способствует развитию творческого потенциала, коммуникативных навыков и лидерских качеств школьников. Чтобы провести мероприятие на качественно высоком уровне, подготовительный этап следует начать приблизительно за месяц до вечера.
План подготовки вечера:
- Поиск видео, аудио материалов, игр, стихотворений, песен (в сценарии приведены примеры некоторых традиционных игр, стихотворение, песни).
- Оформление стенгазеты.
- Изготовление паутин, летучих мышей, луны, туч, ведьм на мётлах.
- Подготовка презентации «История Хэллоуина».
- Подготовка танца черных кошек под песню «Halloween rules» и изготовление костюмов.
- Репетиция страшной истории.
- Подготовить реквизиты для игр.
- Репетиция песни «Everything at once».
Для более эффективной подготовки следует разделить обучающихся на группы, что облегчит работу учителю, и позволит развивать у обучающихся умение договариваться и распределять функции и роли в совместной деятельности. Особенно это касается оформления зала. Современные школьники легко смогут подобрать необходимый материал в Интернете. Мероприятие включает в себя: стихи, просмотр видеоклипа, инсценировка, игры, песня, танец, презентация. Представленный материал является доступным и увлекательным, способствует расширению кругозора детей, обогащает лексический запас.
Для проведения вечера необходимо подготовить следующее оборудование и реквизиты: мультимедийный проектор; презентация «История Хэллоуина»; фонограмма песни; тыквы, свечи, игрушечный паук, черный мешок; костюм ведьмы; для декораций: паутины, летучие мыши на веревках, нарисованные ведьмы на мётлах, тучи, луна; набор для гадания (яблоко, ключ, сердечко, ракушка, монета); для игр: 2 чаши с водой и 2 яблока; 3 рулона туалетной бумаги; плакат с нарисованным ослом и хвост (на магните).

2. Видео «Halloween». Видео можно выбрать любое. Все зависит от возраста ребят, уровня владения языком.
3. Появление ребят в костюмах под устрашающую музыку. Обучающиеся наряжены в костюмы ведьм, монстров, призраков, пиратов, черных кошек, мумий и др. Ребята выходят по одному, проходят по рядам зрителей, дотрагиваются до них. Затем все собираются в центре. За ними стоят ведущие: ведьма и её помощница — черная кошка. Включается свет и вся нечистая сила разбегается. Остаются ведьма и кошка.

A witch: Today is Halloween night. The thirty-first of October. My friends, do you remember the history of Halloween? Let’ listen to children and remember traditions of Halloween and its customs.
“Celts celebrated Halloween many centuries ago in Ireland and Scotland. It was the end of summer and the beginning of winter. The thirty-first of October. Long ago people really believed in ghosts. They thought the dead came back to their homes once a year and walked around all night. Many Halloween stories and games are hundreds years old. Now you can see a Halloween party on the picture: traditional game “Bobbing for apples”, fortune-telling with apples, dancing and telling scary stories.
At Halloween, many boys and girls, even grow-ups dress up in deferent costumes and pretend to be goblins, monsters, skeletons, witches or ghosts.
The most favourite Halloween tradition is to make Jack-o’-lantern. It’s the main symbol of Halloween. Children hollow out a pumpkin and cut eyes, а nose and а mouth.
They light a candle inside the pumpkin to scare their friends. They set jack-o’-lanterns in the windows.
The main Halloween activity for children is trick-or-treating. They dress in costumes and masks and go from door to door saying “trick or treat”. The neighbors give children such treats as sweets, fruit and pennies so that children do not play tricks on them.
Traditional colours of Halloween are: black and orange.
5. Страшная история. Инсценировка страшной истории. Ведьма начинает читать историю, затем мальчик и девочка разыгрывают диалог.
A witch: Today people do not believe in ghosts and monsters, but they like to tell stories about them at Halloween. Now switch off the light and listen to my scary story.

Suddenly she heard a knock at the door and she opened the door and she saw two big shoes, two long thin legs, wide shoulders, two fat hands. It was a strange man. She looked at the man and said:

6. Игра «Достань яблоко». Наполнены две чаши с водой. Ребятам нужно достать яблоко без помощи рук.
A witch: Let’s play a game. It’s a traditional English game for Halloween “Bobbing for apples”. Apples are in the bowls with water. Let someone try to catch an apple with the teeth. Don’t use your hands. I need two persons for this game.
7. Гадание. Помощница выносит поднос. На подносе лежат яблоко, монета, ракушка, ключ и сердечко.
A witch: My little friends, never stay at home along at Halloween time and don’t open the doors to strangers. That was a scary story.
My little cat, come to me, please. It’s time for fortune-telling. Do you want to know your future? Bring me an apple. What а magic fruit! At Halloween time people use apples to tell the future.
Let’s predict your future. My black cat, help me please! Bring me the tray. I’ve got 5 things: these are an apple, a seashell, a heart, a coin and a key. Who wants to predict the future? Come to me. Black cat, blindfold him/her. Now you can choose one.
(An apple – you will be happy. A coin means a lot of money or treasure. A key is for good business/luck. A heart means a close friend. A seashell is for traveling round the world.)

8. Танец кошек.
A witch: Where is my black cat? Black cat!
Oh! I think I know where she is. She is with her friends. It’ a secret, but I’ll tell you. At Halloween night all black cats walk up and down the street and dance their funny dance!
Do you want to see it? Well, let’s watch it! “Halloween rules”. Enjoy!
9. Игра «Мумия». Для конкурса понадобится реквизит: два-три рулона туалетной бумаги. В каждой команде – два игрока. Первый игрок должен обернуть второго туалетной бумагой так, чтобы он стал похож на мумию. Сделать это нужно быстро и аккуратно.
A witch: Now let’s make another two monsters together. I’ve got three toilet rolls. And I need 6 persons. You are a mummy. You are a mummy maker. Do it as fast as you can. The audience will help us to name the winner. Ready! Steady! Go!
10. Песня “Everything at once”.
A witch: Let’s listen to the song “Everything at once”.
11. Игра «Прикрепи хвост ослу». Для игры понадобятся плакат с нарисованным ослом и хвост (на магните, или пластилине).
A witch: Next game for Halloween “Fix the Tail on the Donkey”. Who wants? Come to me. It’ really easy. You should fix the tail on the donkey. You should put the tail on the right place. Black cat blindfold him/her.
12. Подведение итогов.
A witch: Well, it’ time to say goodbye. And remember: everything can happen at Halloween. It’s a magic time! I hope you liked this evening. It was really funny. Goodbye.

Цели и задачи:
1. Познакомить учащихся с традициями Англии на примере празднования 31 октября праздника «Всех Святых»
2. Заинтересовать учащихся в изучении английского языка, как средства для знакомства с традициями англо язычных стран.
3. Активизировать у учащихся творческие способности при подготовке и проведении праздника.

VIII. Конкурс «Мумия фараона»
Участники делятся на группы по 2 игрока. Каждой команде достается по рулону туалетной бумаги. Один игрок берет на себя роль мумии, другой – не менее почетную роль «одевальщика» мумии. Задача – как можно быстрее завернуть «мумию” в туалетную бумагу. Побеждает пара, которая быстрее остальных справится с поставленной задачей.
A witch: Now let’s make another two monsters together. I’ve got three toilet rolls. And I need 6 persons. You are a mummy. You are a mummy maker. Do it as fast as you can. The audience will help us to name the winner. Ready! Steady! Go!
IX. . Игра «Нечисть на связи”
Это знакомая многим игра «Испорченный телефон”. Свет в комнате выключается, а желающие участвовать садятся в линию. Первым садится человек, исполняющий роль ведущего и быстрым шепотом на ухо соседу сообщает какой-нибудь бред типа:
Keep the lights on this night (Не гаси свет этой ночью)
you never know what may be lurking in the dark(Ты никогда не знаешь, что может скрываться в темноте)
Under the moonlight, among the ruins,
Horrible Zombie is bother your dreams.
Stay at your house, be quiet, my friend,

Конкурсант должен повторить фразу следующему сидящему, и так, пока новость не дойдет до последнего игрока, который громко озвучивает ее вслух, и затем ведущий говорит первоначальный вариант. Полное несоответствие оригинала и конечной фразы очень смешит людей, начинаются разборки, кто что услышал и кто что сказал. Испорченный телефон можно повторить несколько раз, с каждым разом выдавая все более замысловатую первую фразу.
X. Игра «Осторожно: глазик! »
2 шарика для пинг-понга разрисовываются, как глазное яблоко. Конкурсанты делятся на 2 команды. Каждой группе выдается по «глазику” и столовой ложке. Отмечается старт и финиш. Задача: очень аккуратно, не роняя «глаз”, пронести его в ложке до финиша, а затем обратно и передать эстафету следующему, при этом стараясь обогнать своих противников. Важная «изюминка”: если мячик выпал с ложки, игрок должен вернуться к линии старта и снова повторить свой путь.
XI. Игра «Достань яблоко»
Наполнены две чаши с водой. Ребятам нужно достать яблоко без помощи рук.
A witch: Let’s play a game. It’s a traditional English game for Halloween “Bobbing for apples”. Apples are in the bowls with water. Let someone try to catch an apple with the teeth. Don’t use your hands. I need two persons for this game.

A witch: Well, it’ time to say goodbye. And remember: everything can happen at Halloween. It’s a magic time! I hope you liked this evening. It was really funny.
В заключение жюри подводит итоги конкурсов по классам на лучшую газету, тыкву и тоже вручает призы.
Ребята по окончании праздника фотографируются на память с Крюгером, «страшилками», «магом» и друг с другом.

Сцена украшена свечами, тыквой, которая является декорацией для сценки. На
сцене нарисованный котел, в котором варится зелье, вокруг изображения черных
котов, тыкв и ведьм. Над сценой к потолку на ниточках прикреплены нарисованные
фигурки летучих мышей, паучка, луны.
Звучит таинственная и устрашающая мелодия, которая заканчивается с началом
представления.
За участие в представлении и конкурсах, за приготовленные костюмы учащиеся
награждаются призами.
В конце вечера все присутствующие получают сувениры.

Good evening, dear guests. Welcome to our party!
In Europe the night of the ghosts and witches was combined with the Christian
holiday. As that night fell on October 31, people called it Halloween. The word
itself, «Halloween,» actually has its origins in the Catholic Church. But, in
the 5th century BC, in Celtic Ireland, summer officially ended on October 31.
The holiday was called Samhain (sow-en), the Celtic New year.
Presenter 2.
On Halloween, people often go to the parties at which fortunes are read and
ghosts stories are told. Children may dress up in the costumes and masks of
witches, goblins or skeletons and go trick – or – treating. They ring doorbells
and ask for candy, apples, or coins.
If they don’t receive a treat, they may play a trick.
Presenter 1.
At night on October 31 witches fly on their broomsticks, skeletons rattle
their bones, ghosts frighten people, Jack – O’ – Lanterns walk around houses,
black Halloween cats play tricks with us.
(Behind the speaker in the back of the stage there appears a “ghost”,
listening to what she says, moves quietly and disappears.)

Halloween is one of the oldest celebrations in the world, dating back over
2000 years to the time of the Celts who lived in Britain
Halloween is also known by other names:

The Day of the Dead
When Christianity came to England and the rest of Europe, 1 November became
All Saints Day – a day dedicated to all those saints who didn’t have a special
day of their own
In Mexico, they celebrate El Dia de los Muertos or the Day of the Dead
starting the evening of October 31.
It is thought that the colours orange and black became Halloween colours
because orange is associated with harvests (Halloween marks the end of harvest)
and black is associated with death.
Presenter 1.
Halloween customs today follow many of ancient practices. When children wear
costumes, false faces, or witches’ hats, bob for apples or carry jack-o-lanterns
they are carrying on ancient traditions.
Presenter 2.
Witches prepared different potions (снадобья) and told magic spells:

Add some bat wings and then what?

Well, now we know that witches fly on their brooms, and what about Jack – O’
– Lantern?
The jack-o-lantern, most typical of Halloween symbols, began with the Irish.
According to legend a man named Jack was expelled from Hell for playing tricks
on the devil. He was to walk the earth forever carrying a lantern to light his
way waiting for Judgment Day.
Modern jack-o-lanterns are made from big orange pumpkins.
Look, here it is. (Jack – O’ – Lantern appears)
Jack – O’ – Lantern – Hi everybody. My name is Jack, you know. I’ve
been wandering around the Earth for hundreds of years. I am so tired. People
don’t like me, but I want to talk to them. I am so glad to have come to your
party. One of the ancient traditions on Halloween was story telling. I know so
many interesting stories and I won’t go until I tell you one of them.
Now light the candles in your pumpkins, switch off the light and listen to my
story.
(Tells the story and comes closer to the spectators)
Once upon a time there lived an old woman. She sat by the fire and she spun
waiting for someone to come. But no one came. Soon there was a knock at the door
and the door opened and in came two big shoes, two long thin legs, some wide,
wide shoulders, some long thin arms, two fat hands and in rolled a pumpkin head.
She looked at someone and said:
Why do you have such big, big shoes?
Much walking, much walking, – said someone.
Why do you have such long thin legs?
Much running, much running.
Why do you have such wide shoulders?
Much carrying, much carrying.
Why do you have such fat, fat hands?
Much working, much working.
Why are you here? What is it you want?
I came to get……….YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Jack – O’ – Lantern screams, scares students and goes away.)
Presenter 1.
Isn’t it fun to scare somebody at the Halloween Party!
Well, one more guest is coming to us.
Old Lady Witch:
Oh – ho, I am so tired, my poor legs. They hurt me and want to rest. Oh,
can’t believe my eyes! So many people! Recognize me? I am Old Lady Witch. Well,
it is a good opportunity to tell everybody that I am not so ugly as they think.
I have a big, soft and a warm heart. Don’t be afraid of me. I’ll tell you, girls,
how to see your future husbands on Halloween.
Go alone into a dark room where there is a looking glass. Eat an apple before
it and at the last mouthful the face of your future husband will be seen peeping
over your shoulder.
If you peel an apple and throw the parings over the left shoulder look at
what form the peel has taken. It may be the initials of the man you are to marry.
If you drop two needles into a bowl of water, you can tell by the way they
move in the water whether you and your lover will come together
Well, that is not enough for today, but I have to go. Good – bye everybody,
enjoy your Halloween and have a good fright.
(Goes away.)
Presenter 2. – Well, well, well the time for fun has come. We have a
lot here to enjoy. Apples were once thought to be a link between men and the
Gods and were often used to tell the future. By putting an apple under your
pillow you could dream a wish and eat the apple in the morning. Later people
began to use apple in games.
Let’s play the game “Bobbing for apples”. Apples are in a bowl of
water. Let someone try to catch an apple with his teeth.

команды с заведенными за спину руками пытаются с помощью зубов достать из тазика

“Pin the Tail on the Cat”. (Игра – “Прикрепи хвост ослику”.)
1. Cut out a cat shape from black felt or black cardboard or even paper.
2. Use fabric paint or glue to add the eyes, nose, and whiskers.
3. Cut out several tails from black felt or cardboard or paper and sew or
glue them to a hook or pin that can be attached to the cat.
4. The hook or pin will stick to the felt or cardboard or paper anywhere the
children put it.

Trick’O’Treat!
Presenter 1. Now we want to tell you a few words about
trick’o’treating.
Soul caking
People wanted to welcome the friendly spirits so they baked special soul
cakes for them. When children came dressed in their costumes on All Hallow’s Eve,
they were given soul cakes.
Soul-Cakers Song
Soul, soul, for a souling cake,
I pray, good missus, a souling cake.
Apple or pear, a plum or a cherry,
Any good thing to make us all merry.
Traditional Celts
The history of «Trick’O’Treating» can be traced back to the early
celebrations of All Soul’s Day in Britain. The poor would go begging and the
housewives would give them special treats called «soulcakes». This was called «going
a-souling», and the «soulers» would promise to say a prayer for the dead.
Over time the custom changed and the town’s children became the beggars. As
they went from house to house they would be given apples, buns, and money.
Some people think that this led to asking for treats on Halloween in verses
or rhymes. Such as:
Deal out, Deal out,
The witches are out!
Or:
Trick or treat, you’re so neat.
Give me something good to eat.
Nuts and candy, fruit and gum.
I’ll go away if you give me some.
Trick – or – treaters have come to our party either to get treats from you or
play tricks on you. It’s better to accept their mischief in good humor. If you
have a coin, or a sweet, or anything else better give it to them, otherwise…..
(Old Lady Witch, Jack and others go trick – or – treating).
Presenter 2. And now we’d like you to listen to some music.

Presenter 1. Our party is coming to the end and we invite all of you
to take part in “Halloween Fashion Show”.

Цели:
1. Практические:
- развитие умения аудировать;
- активизация лексики по теме «Праздники»;
- развитие говорения (умения сообщать, объяснять, рассказывать).
2. Образовательные:
- приобретение знаний об истории и традициях Великобритании, связанных с праздником «Хэллоуин»;
- знакомство с некоторыми литературными произведениями известных британских поэтов.
3. Воспитательные:
- воспитание положительного отношения к культуре народа изучаемого языка;
- развитие уважения и интереса к иностранной литературе.
4. Развивающие:
- развитие творческих способностей учащихся;
- развитие умения общаться, а также таких черт характера как трудолюбие, целеустремленность, активность, самостоятельность, инициативность.
Оснащение:
- компьютер, мультимедийный проектор;
- экран (для показа презентации в Microsoft PowerPoint);
- магнитофон (для исполнения песни);
- фонарь, сделанный из тыквы (jack-o-lantern), свечки, луна, паучки…
Подготовка к уроку.
- За 2 недели до данного внеклассного мероприятия 3-4 ученикам дается домашнее задание: подготовить рассказ об истории, традициях, особенностях праздника «Хэллоуин», а также сделать компьютерную презентацию в Power Point для большей наглядности своего рассказа. В докладе обязательно должны содержаться новые слова и выражения, которые изучались на предыдущих уроках данной темы: date back to, long-standing traditions, pagan, protect against, pumpkin, symbol, unique, candle, ghost, witch, bat, candy, skeleton, death, spider
- Еще несколько учеников получают задание: найти стихи разных поэтов на английском языке о магии, волшебстве, а также перевод этих стихов на русский язык или сделать собственный литературный перевод.
- Перед внеклассным мероприятием учитель и ученики оформляют кабинет плакатами и рисунками по тематике праздника, готовят фонарь из тыквы, свечки.
- Дома готовят костюмы
- Место проведения украшается различными рисунками, плакатами на русском и английском языках («Входи, если смелый», «DANGER», «Go away», «Тебя сюда не звали». Работает Halloween museum, где представлены, «Справочник групп крови», «Картотека Нечистой Силы», «Книга старинных заклинаний»и т. д. На конкурс поделок учащиеся готовят сувениры и даже печенье с экзотическими названиями, связанными с праздником.
- Сцена украшена разрисованной ширмой, которая является декорацией для сценки. На ней нарисован огромный котёл, в котором варится зелье, вокруг головы чудовищ, чёрных котов, тыкв и ведьм. Над сценой к потолку на ниточках прикреплены нарисованные фигурки летучих мышей, луны, ведьм на мётлах.

Текст презентации: Halloween is a very old holiday. It is celebrated on the 31st of October, the Eve of all Saints.
The history of Halloween goes back more than 2,000 years. The earliest celebrations of Halloween were among the Celtic people. The Celts were a group of people who lived in present day Ireland and England. They believed that Halloween is a time when magic is most potent and spirits can make contact with the physical world. According to belief all kinds of witches and goblins come out on this night.
Nowadays Halloween is a festival of fun for kids and adults. People dress up as witches, skeletons and ghosts and go to masquerade parties. Such events take place on October 31.
There are various symbols of Halloween such as Halloween black cats, bats, skeletons, witches, terrifying masks and carved pumpkins. These symbols are used to decorate homes, costumes, gift paper, cards, cookies, cakes and candy.
Carving pumpkins into Jack-o’-lanterns is a traditional Halloween custom. Today jack-o’-lanterns in the windows of a house on Halloween night let children know that there are presents or sweets waiting if they knock and say “Trick or Treat!”
There are many others traditional Halloween activities. Some of these include watching horror films, telling ghost stories and playing Halloween games. The most popular game is Bobbing for apples. This game is one of the traditional games used on Halloween night. The rules of the game are easy. The first person who gets an apple out of the water without using hands would be the first to marry.
Also Halloween is sometimes called “Nutcrack Night” or “Snap-Apple Night”. Families sit usually by the fire and tell stories while they ate apples and nuts.

Сценарий праздника на английском языке

За месяц до праздника учитель на уроках рассказывает об этом празднике, знакомит учащихся со словами, связанными с этим праздником. Эта работа облегчит проведение праздника, ребятам будет интереснее готовиться к нему. Накануне проводится конкурс на лучший рисунок на тему: «halloween», ребята готовят костюмы ведьм, приведений, черных котов и другой нечистой силы.
Оформление: рисунки, плакаты по теме, оформлена выставка конкурса на лучший рисунок по теме «hallowen», а также на лучшую «Jack-O-Lantern» (тыкву). К этому празднику специально подобрана и записана музыка, которая сопровождает весь праздник. Учащиеся одеты в костюмы. (музыка С. Губайдулина «Живое-неживое», Булюмкин «Таинство»).
Ход вечера
Ведущим может быть учитель или учащиеся старших классов. В зависимости от возраста и подготовки учащихся вечер можно проводить, используя русский язык (особенно, когда учитель рассказывает о самом празднике, его происхождении).
При входе участники вытягивают билеты «Halloween» лотереи.

Hello, dear witches, wizards, ghosts and other friends! We’ve gathered here to celebrate the most important holiday Halloween.
( На фоне музыки заходят участники представления, одетые в костюмы. Они приветствуют присутствующих, совершают круг почета и выходят).

Now listen to the story about this interesting holiday.
Halloween is one of the oldest and most colourful holidays. It goes back to early times before Christ was born Before Northern Europe became Christian, people believed that every autumn there came a night of howling wind and frightening happenings. Witches rode the air, skeletons rattle their bones, the ghosts appear out of the swirling mists.
The Christian religion has set aside a special day to honour all those saints who do not have name days of their own. It is November 1 and it is called «All saints day». In Europe the night of the ghosts and witches was combined with the Christian holy day. Because the night fell on October 31, people called it Halloween. This means «hallowed evening» or «holy eve».
On Halloween people often go to parties at which fortunes are read and ghosts stories are told.
Orange or gold, and black are the Halloween colours. Orange and gold stand for ripe fruits and grain. Black is for black magic and black cats, for the mystery of Halloween. The big round orange pumpkin became part of this celebration. An old legend says that at midnight on Halloween all pumpkins leave their vegetable gardens to dance merrily across the fields.
There are many Halloween customs and superstitions.
Customs are the following.
Costumes: by putting on costumes and masks, people hope the evil spirit will leave them alone.
Jack-O-Lantern — are carved pumpkins with candles inside.
Trick-Or-Treating. It means give me something or I’ll play a trick on you.

Many Halloween superstitions started because people wanted to know what would happen to them in the future.

Girls will throw a nut into a fire to find out whether their boyfriends still love them. If the nut burn, their boyfriends still love them. If the nut burst, the boyfriends do not care anymore.

You can make a wish come true by eating a crust of bread before going to bed on Halloween night. And there are many, many other customs and superstitions.
Halloween in America has become a big holiday for boys and girls. Surprisingly enough, Halloween is not much of a holiday now in England, Scotland and Ireland. Americans have been the ones to keep the holiday. American children got their Halloween customs from many countries. They are now giving to the children of many countries in return for the customs. Halloween is forming a ring of friendship around the world. Children still have fun on Halloween. Ghosts still walk. Whites still have their black cats and broomsticks. Fairies and elfs still dance. Goblins still play tricks. It is also now done for fun. All of this can happen on only one magical night — halloween.

1. Jack-O-Lantern: My name is Jack and here is my Lantern made from a pumpkin. As you see I’ve cut out slits for two eyes, a nose and a mouth and put a lighted candle inside. I used to play practical jokes on the devil and I am punished for it.

Oh! We are very sorry for you Jack!

3 ведьма: We may change a handsome boy into a frog.
4 ведьма: We cook our magic brews in such big black pots.

In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and for of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork, and blind-worm sting,
Lizard’s leg, and owlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble.

Fire burn, and cauldron bubble!

Do you want a black cat to cross your path? Are you afraid of black cats? (Зрители отвечают на вопросы). If a cat sits next to you on Halloween you will have good fortune. If the cat jumped on your lap you will enjoy fantastic luck.

2 — Oh, you see I don’t like quiet and polite children. I try to make them misbehave and they become naughty and rude.

1 — I try to make people lonely and sad.

— Children! Are you naughty and rude?
Появляются приведения (2 Ghosts)
1 — A flash of white in the darkness, «Who-OO-OO?» Hoots the owl on the post.
2 — A creak and a groan,
A squeak and a moan,
«OOO-OOO-OOO!»
Comes the howl — it’s a ghost!
1 — We can walk through closed doors, even walls.
We love empty houses. We travel at night.
2 — We can be seen, but not heard.
We never leave shadows or food prints.

Do you know that ghosts are afraid of the light. No keep ghosts away, one should wear red or carry a light. Spirits fear these two things.
7 — We Folk
(четверо эльфов)
1 — Up the airy mountain,
Down the rushy glen,
We daren’t go a-hunting
For fear of fear of little men,
We folk, good folk,
Trooping all together,
Green jacket, red cap
And white owl’s feather!
2 — Hello! We are known by many names. Fairies! Goblins! Elves! Brownies! Trolls! Some of us wear green. Some wear bright red caps.
3 — We are not so powerful as the old gods and goddesses, but we are magical. Halloween is our special holiday time. Anyone who sees us will have a strange adventure.
4 — Some of us are Good Folk! We try to help humans. Some of us are full of mischief. We like to play tricks. Others are evels and do much harm. Some of us love music and dancing.

После парада нечистой силы, ведущий и его помощники продолжают праздник.
Quiz. (проводится небольшая викторина о празднике. Учащиеся, правильно ответившие на вопросы, получают призы).

Halloween lottery
У ребят есть билеты, которые они получили в начале праздника. Проводится розыгрыш призов. Один из зрителей вынимает счастливые номера билетов из специальной коробки «Lottery Box» «Счастливчики» тут же получают призы.
Игра «haunted house»
«Заколдованный дом»
Игра типа «теремок», только вместо зверей в доме селится нечистая сила. Участвовать в игре могут только учащиеся в костюмах. В конце все обитатели дома поют любимую песню «The More We Get Together».
Fortune-Telling
Гадание на воде.
Put three bowls in a row. Fill one with clean water, one with dirty water and leave one empty. Each player must be blindfolded. He turns around three times and dips his hand into one of the bowls. The bowl of clean water stands for much money, the dirty water stands for little money and empty bowl — for no money at all. (The bowls may stand for any fortune. For example: jobs, travel, luck, fame and so on. The clean water will always stand for the best fortune and the empty bowl for the worst).
«A field of miracles»
(Поле чудес»)
На магнитной доске слова, но буквы в произвольном порядке. Кто правильно расставит буквы в данных словах и прочитает слово, тот получит приз. Слова соответствуют теме праздника. Например: witch, moon, storm, sad).
Attractions «Catch an apple»
(«Достань яблоко»)
You have to catch an apple in the water with the help of a fork. Each player must be blindfolded. Try your luck!
Учащиеся по очереди с завязанными глазами пытаются достать яблоко в тазу с водой с помощью вилки. Тот, кому это удается, получает яблоко.
«The Lost tail»
Look at this donkey. He has lost his tail. Everybody has a chance to pin the tail on the donkey. It is not easy because you cannot see. You have a scarf over your eyes. The person who puts the tail nearest to the right place is the winner.
На магнитной доске приклеен ослик без хвоста. Нужно прикрепить к бумажному ослику хвост с завязанными глазами. Можно использовать также «привидение» и «косу» (вместо осла с хвостом).
«pass the parcel»
You wrap a small toy or a bar of chocolate in a lot of paper. You all stand or sit in a circle and pass the parcel to the person next to you. There is music playing when you are doing this. When the music stops you take of one piece of paper. Then the music starts again. The person who tkes the last piece of paper off wins the prize.
В большое количество бумаги заворачивают шоколад или другой предмет. Под музыку все передают друг другу эту посылку. Музыка останавливается, ученик кусок обертки. Музыка возобновляется, и посылка опять идет по кругу. Кто оторвал последний кусок обертки, тот и выиграл этот приз.
art competition
Draw a face of happy Jack-o-Lantern (or sad).
Несколько учеников рисуют. Лучший получает приз (определяют зрители). В это же время можно подвести итоги конкурса на лучший рисунок по теме halloween.
Ведущий:
Now let’s sing a song «clementine», where the sources of evil made a nice lovely Clementine fall into foaming brine (исполняют все присутствующие).
В заключение праздника проходит парад костюмов. Звучит музыка. Лучшие костюмы награждаются призами.

Перед составлением вашего собственного сценария Halloween я рекомендую ознакомиться с историей праздника и с тем, как его празднуют в разных странах мира.
Как создать интересное тематическое мероприятие своими руками
Для начала определитесь с масштабом празднования. Что это будет? Просто выполнение тематических заданий без облачения в костюмы? Костюмированное театральное действо? Оформленные в «жутком» стиле комнаты или учебные классы?
Чем украсить кабинет?
Украсьте место действия — кабинеты или комнаты. В этом году я приобретала украшения на Хэллоуин в магазине FixPrice. Это были гирлянды в виде привидения и паука, светящиеся игрушки в виде тыкв, а также маски на палочке. Если в вашем городе тоже есть такой магазин, то обязательно загляните в него – чего там только нет для празднования Хэллоуина, да и любого другого праздника.
Также можно самим сделать гирлянды летучих мышей, распечатав шаблон из интернета, а также паутину из чёрного полиэтилена и пауков из губок и синельной проволоки.
Итак, давайте обобщим. Чем можно украсить место проведения праздника?
- Тыквами. Настоящими, пластиковыми или бумажными. (шаблон)
- Летучими мышами. Просто вырезанными из чёрной бумаги или в виде гирлянды. (шаблон)
- Пауками, изготовленными из губок для мытья посуды и синельной проволоки.
- Паутиной, изготовленной из полиэтиленовых пакетов.
Теперь, когда вы определились с оформлением и форматом праздника, самое время подумать над наполнением: будет ли это одна цельная история или же дети будут выполнять различные задания, не связанные историей? Разработайте концепцию и накидайте план или сценарий.
При составлении сценария обязательно учитывайте возраст вашей «целевой аудитории». Чем младше дети, тем добрее и проще должно быть мероприятие – никаких устрашающих звуков и песен, жутких костюмов и сложных конкурсов. Даже если у вас младшие школьники, вспомните, нет ли у вас в группе / окружении очень впечатлительных детей. Если есть, то тоже постарайтесь избежать сильно страшных декораций и костюмов ведущих.
Когда набросок готов, приступайте к его наполнению играми, песнями, страшилками.
Что я бы рекомендовала обязательно включить в сценарий праздника Halloween на английском языке:
- Рассказ о том, что же это за праздник и зачем его праздновать. Например:

Чем старше дети, тем большими подробностями может обрастать рассказ. Для совсем малышей можете использовать песенки, в которые уже заключены какие-то традиции. Например, как в песне «Knock, knock. Trick or treat?», рассказывается о традиции ходить от дома к дому и просить угощения:

Так от дома к дому ходят разные ряженные дети. Песенку полностью можно послушать здесь:
- Песни, вне зависимости от возраста, так как петь любят практически все. На Youtube можно найти различные песенки под любой сценарий. Рекомендуем обратить внимание на песенки от Super Simple Songs.
- Подвижные игры и конкурсы. Идеи для них можно почерпнуть здесь.
- Очень рекомендую обратить внимание на традиционную игру Apple Bobbing, в которой нужно без помощи рук откусить яблоко. Вы можете подвесить их или же положить в таз с водой. Ну и, конечно же не забывайте включать тематические песни или звуки во время выполнения заданий.
- Обыгрывание страшной или страшно-весёлой истории. Это можно воплотить в постановке-импровизации или пантомиме.
- Не забудьте сделать страшно-красивую поделку. Предлагаю сделать привидение. Простенько, но с хеллоуинским вкусом.

Что понадобится для эксперимента?
- Пластиковая бутылка 1 или 1,5 литра
- Белый воздушный шарик
- Воронка
- Столовая ложка соды
- 1/2 чашки уксуса
- Глоссарий для проведения игры
Как делать?

- Под занавес праздника будет хорошей идеей выключить свет и зажечь фонарики, заранее вырезанные, например, из апельсинов, а также спеть прощальную песенку.
Вот и готов наш сценарий Halloween для детей. Осталось дело за малым – подготовить чек-лист необходимого реквизита и материалов для его изготовления.
Обычно, подготовка к таким праздникам занимает достаточно много времени и требует использования своей фантазии на максимуме. Если же у вас нет ни сил, ни времени, ни желания фантазировать, то вы можете воспользоваться уже готовым сценарием, который легко можно найти в сети. Но такие сценарии не всегда подходят под определённый возраст, не содержат пошаговых инструкций и глоссариев, да и нет гарантии, что он вам подойдёт, ведь это может быть теоретическая разработка, а не проверенный временем и практикой сценарий.
Я уже несколько лет подряд, еще до появления моего собственного центра, проводила тематические праздники для детей на английском. И я знаю, о чём говорю. Накануне Нalloween я подготовила для вас полный сценарий проведения праздника на английском языке. В нем есть все, что необходимо – и песни, и игры, и театральная постановка, и эксперимент, и поделка, и даже приготовление магического зелья!
