Ведущий 2: Здравствуйте, ребята, здравствуйте, уважаемые гости! Сегодня, 25 декабря – день празднования Рождества во многих странах, в том числе во всех англоязычных. В Великобритании, США, Канаде, Австралии, в европейских странах Рождество празднуют 25 декабря. Поэтому сегодня у нас праздник английского языка! Начнём с весёлой песенки про рождественские колокольчики. Где вы, Санты, где ваша оленья упряжка?
Ведущий 1 и ведущий 2 вместе, хором: Jingle bells!
Звучит песня “Jingle bells”.
Ведущий1: Christmas is wonderful time and there are many poems about it. Let’s listen them!
Выход чтецов стихотворений, чтение стихотворений по очереди.
Ведущий 2: Ночью, пока все спали, начался снегопад. Снег укрыл всё белым блестящим ковром, а наши герои подготовили для вас про это песню! Snowflakes keep falling on my head!
Ведущий 1: «А снежинки всё падают и падают мне на голову!» Встречаем наших затерявшихся в снегопаде героев!
Выход на сцену исполнителей песни “Snowflakes”.
Ведущий 2: Праздник Рождества – не повод для увеселения, это время для совершения дел милосердия и помощи ближнему. Время любить и прощать.

Ведущий 1: We wish you a merry Christmas — популярный светский рождественский гимн. Появился в XVI веке в Юго-Западной Англии. Происхождение этого рождественского гимна восходит к английской традиции, где богатые люди общества давали рождественские подарки поющим гимны христославам в Сочельник. Это один из немногих традиционных английских рождественских гимнов, в котором упоминается празднование Нового года.
Ведущий 2: Давайте послушаем этот старинный рождественский гимн.
Исполнение песни “We wish you a merry Christmas”.
Ведущий 1: Празднование Рождества начинается ещё 24 числа, этот день называется «Сhristmas eve», и в каждой стране, и даже частях разных стран его принято проводить по-разному. Например, на холодной Аляске в рождественскую ночь мальчики и девочки с фонариками в руках носят из дома в дом большую самодельную картонную звезду, украшенную кусочками цветной бумаги, и поют весёлые рождественские песенки (carols).
Ведущий 2: У нас такая традиция на Рождество тоже сохранилась. Песни мы называем «колядки», а саму традицию ходить по домам – «колядование».
Ведущий 1: Рождество для западных людей – такой же любимый, шумный и весёлый праздник, как для нас – Новый год, а вот празднование Нового года больше похоже на наше Рождество – длится только одну ночь и проходит в маленьких компаниях.
Ведущий 2: В большинстве семей, как в Англии, так и в США день перед Рождеством – 24 декабря – наполнен милыми и приятными хлопотами, начиная от последних приготовлений блюд на праздничный стол и заканчивая подготовкой к «приходу» Санты. Самый известный обычай – вешать над камином специальные носки – stockings, в которые Санта положит подарки.
Ведущий 1: Сегодня Рождество отмечают в западных странах, а совсем скоро наступят новогодние праздники и в России. New Year is coming, Russian Christmas is also coming!
Ведущий 1 и ведущий 2 вместе, хором, громко: Now’s the time for us to say good bye and to say… Happy New Year!

Ведущий: Good afternoon! I am glad to see you at our New Year’s Party. Oh, look around! It is snowing everywhere. The ground is covered with snow, the rivers and the lakes are covered with snow too. Fantastic! Completely white! Oh, what a lovely world! Let’s call our winter months and they will tell us about this wonderful season-winter.

Знаете ли вы, что на далеком севере, на северном полюсе живет американский Дед Мороз, которого зовут Санта Клаус. В течение всего года Санта Клаус и его помощники гномы готовятся к Рождеству. Они читают письма от детей, готовят по их заказам подарки, ведут книгу об их поведении, записывая хорошие и плохие проступки. А затем складывают подарки в мешок Санта Клауса. Словом, дел невпроворот. Приближается Рождество, и ребятам тоже все надо успеть: подарки приготовить своим друзьям и близким, выучить стихи и песни, написать поздравительные открытки, приготовить карнавальные костюмы…

Цели и задачи проведения
рождественского праздника:
- Образовательные: выход за рамки
традиционного урока помогает детям использовать
английский язык как средство развития их
коммуникативных умений: разучивая, воспроизводя,
инсценируя стихи, песни, сценки на английском я
зыке, учащиеся овладевают коммуникативными
средствами, достаточными для осуществления
иноязычного обучения на элементарном и среднем
уровне. - Развивающие: расширяется представление
учащихся о традициях и обычаях стран изучаемого
языка; углубляется потребность детей в
творчестве и познании нового. - Воспитательные: воспитывается уважительное
отношение к проявлениям иной культуры, а также
создается положительная мотивация к освоению
иностранного языка, так как органичное сочетание
когнитивного и эмоционального связано с
положительными эмоциями и способствует хорошему
усвоению языкового материала.
Оснащение: проектор для
демонстрации презентации, компьютер, магнитофон,
декорации, костюмы.

Сценарий
В зале звучат рождественские песни
на англ. языке. На экране слайд №1 из Презентации. Гаснет свет.
Звучат колокольчики (дорожка №1).
На сцене зажигается свет. Звучит
песня “Christmas is coming” (дорожка №2), выходят
дети, изображая предпраздничную суету. В стороне
стоит нищий, некоторые из детей подают ему
деньги, сладости.
Old man. Oh! Thank you very much. Good children! How generous you
are. I have some money. Now I can buy a present for my wife and some food for my Christmas
dinner: turkey and plum pudding.
После этого они все вместе исполняют
песню “Christmas is coming”.
Затем выходит Mother Goose и обращается к
собравшимся:
Mother Goose. Well, well, well, well, well, here we all are again.
And what’s more important, Christmas is here again, too. Aren’t you glad? Now I want to
tell you children something. Do you know what I enjoy most at Christmas time? It’s to come
in here and see all you children, all your faces and smiles. And I think I know why you
are all smiling.
There are two reasons for it, I believe. One is that you think old
Mother Goose is a good friend of yours, and loves you all very much. And you’re quite
right about that. I love every one of you as much as I love—plum pudding. And the second
reason why you are all smiling, I guess, is because you think I am going to show you a
Christmas Play. And you’re right about that, too.
Are you ready, all of you? Be quiet, then, for now it is going to
begin…

holiday. It is the time when Christians around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ,
who was very kind and who loved children very much. Many Christians go to church to sing
carols and to celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas day.

celebration as Christ’s Mass.
(Cлайд №4) X-mas. This abbreviation for Christmas is of
Greek origin. The word for Christ in Greek is Xristos.
Ведущий 1. Do you know that the Christmas story comes from
the Bible? The baby Jesus was born in a stable. His mother was the Virgin Mary and his
father was Joseph. The wise man gave Jesus gifts of gold. Because of this event the
Christians celebrate Christmas. Let’s see how it was.

prepare for this day beforehand. They buy presents, decorate their houses and send
greeting cards. Today we shall find out more about Christmas in Great Britain.

home with their family on Christmas day. Christmas is a truly magical season, bringing
families and friends together to share their much loved customs and traditions. Do you
remember the symbols of Christmas?

people shop for turkeys, crackers and presents, they also pick up holly wreathes.
Holly is an evergreen plant with sharp pointed leaves and red berries.
People use holly to decorate their homes. It is a very old tradition. Long ago people
began to put holly in their homes during the dark cold winters. They liked to look at
holly and think about the spring and the sun.
Mistletoe is an evergreen plant with small leaves and small white
berries. On Christmas Eve there is a bunch of mistletoe in every house.

light candles in their windows. The Bible says that Mary had trouble finding shelter on
the night Jesus was born. The candles symbolize a welcome to cold and tired travelers.

is singing carols in the street or public places. Christmas carols are special songs which
are sung during the Christmas season. The songs are about Jesus and the time when he was
born. It is one of the oldest customs in Great Britain, going back to the Middle Ages when
beggars, seeking food, money, or drink, would wander the streets singing holiday songs.

is a fir tree. The decorating of the tree is usually a family occasion, with everyone

lights and small ornaments which hang from the branches. Chocolate coins or chocolate
shapes are also hung on the Christmas tree and the presents are put under the tree.
